Responsibilities
Receive and Inspect Shipments: Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure they match purchase orders and are in good condition
Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of materials in designated indoor and outdoor areas. Participate in yearly Physical Inventory
Material Handling: Safely handle and move large, heavy pipes and plates using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and cranes
Documentation: Ensure all receiving documentation is completed accurately and promptly, including updating inventory systems
Safety compliance: Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular safety inspections to prevent accidents and injuries
Qualification
Required
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Forklift experience and ability to pass Bitzer certification
Must be able to stand on feet for at least 10 hours/day
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in material handling is a plus
Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role, particularly with handling large and heavy materials
Strong organizational skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and the ability to operate material handling equipment
Forklift: 2 years (Required)
Receiving: 1 year (Required)
