Seasonal Hire - Neurology Research
UTHealth Houston is Texas’ resource for healthcare education, innovation, scientific discovery, and excellence in patient care. The Neurology Research Department is seeking a Seasonal Hire to assist with project management, research activities, data management, and administrative support for a research project focused on concussion recovery in adolescents.

Responsibilities
Oversees daily operations of research projects, including coordination of personnel, facilities, supplies, and budgetary resources to achieve desired outcomes
Keeps project on schedule and within scope and budget, preparing regular progress reports and updates
Coordinates meetings, research activities, and project-related communications
Attends research planning meetings to discuss deliverables and provide status updates
Works closely with the Office of Sponsored Projects to ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting
Recruits and screens potential research participants from a clinical practice at designated locations
Obtains informed consent, administers questionnaires, and collects data
Schedules participants for research procedures and accompanies them to the medical school for neuroimaging assessments
Manages participant reimbursement paperwork and ensures participant follow-up
Maintains confidential records of collected data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with research protocols
Enters and manages data in research databases
Provides administrative direction and guidance to departmental staff involved in research activities
Interacts with representatives from funding organization to support project goals
Performs other duties as assigned to support the success of the research project
Qualification
Required
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Working knowledge of MS Office
Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education
Two (2) years of relevant experience. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects
This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code 51.215 and Texas Government Code 411.094
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas
