Responsibilities

Work closely with the Digital Content Coordinator to complete incoming web requests from other departments. For example, this can range from adding a new event, updating a pdf link on a page, fixing a spelling error, optimizing the website for accessibility and SEO, etc
Assist in updating content across all BSC web platforms: https://bismarckstate.edu/, https://bscflex.com/, and https://bscmystics.com/
Assist the Public Affairs team with setting up and covering BSC events, such as Explore BSC, program-specific open houses, press conferences and more
Embraces the opportunity to participate in social media talent including the mascot
Opportunity to be a part of various marketing projects to diversify their portfolio
Maintains good public relations while working with faculty, staff and customers
Supports innovation, creativity and ideas to enhance processes in the Public Affairs department and college
Performs other duties as required or assigned

Required

Willing to learn CMS systems and comfortable using web platforms
The ability to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches for BSC content and engagement
Strong communication skills: Both written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills: Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects
Strong technical skills: Ability to use, understand, and adapt to relevant tools, technologies, and systems required in this role
The ability to work independently and handle interruptions
The ability to lift to 30 pounds (essential function)
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse personalities

Preferred

Working knowledge of – Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Knowledge of the college's culture, values, and target audience
