Togetherhood is expanding its network to Washington, DC, seeking passionate instructors for K-12 enrichment opportunities. The role involves creating engaging curricula and memorable experiences for students while fostering a love for learning.

Responsibilities

Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
Create memorable experience for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for your subject
Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
Help children understand why your class subject is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person

Qualification

Required

Experience teaching school age children
Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Brings own voice and creativity to each class taught
Cooperative, supportive, flexible
Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
Appreciates support and clear expectations
Ability to conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for classes
Ability to create memorable experiences for children to help them grow and develop a passion for the subject
Consistently arrive at class on time (or early), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
Help children understand why the class subject is wonderful and how it has helped shape the instructor as a person
Provide a resume showcasing relevant teaching experience
If lacking formal teaching experience, share any other relevant experience or training
