6+ years expNextPort.AI is seeking a Mid Level Traffic Engineer to join their Atlanta office, specializing in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will perform project engineering, design, planning, and computations related to traffic operations and improvements.

Responsibilities
Perform project engineering, design, planning, and computations that include: maintenance of traffic (MOT); traffic signing; traffic signals; pavement markings; lighting design; geometric design; traffic forecasting; and design of transportation improvements
Contribute to projects that include the final design and preparation of plans, specifications and studies associated with traffic analysis
Review plans prepared by others
Plan and organize technical project assignments
Prepare technical reports and direct interface with clients
Travels periodically to work site and other project-related locations
Collaborate with managers and teams to complete projects on time and on budget
Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers
Participate in project management decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance
Identify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendations for corrective action when needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation
6 to 10 years of years of progressive experience in Traffic Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Georgia or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Availability and willingness to travel
All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
