Small Parts Assembly / Paint / Special Process Manufacturing Engineer
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join their Machining Operations Center/Manufacturing Engineering Team. This role involves supporting the production of ultra-precision machined components for defense applications, focusing on continuous improvement and technology integration in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with other Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Production stakeholders
Create/modify detailed work instructions and other shop‑floor documentation to support production needs
Create fixture and tooling concepts and drawings
Provide shop‑floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
Investigate and perform Root Cause analysis of component non‑conformances and ensure implementation of effective Corrective Action
Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs
Perform other duties as assigned
Willingness to learn and receive training, and when required, train others
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related discipline
Basic understanding of CAD software such as Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solidworks
The candidate must be a US citizen
Preferred
Experience with small parts assembly operation including precision pin installation, rivet install, helicoils, etc
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills
Experience working with Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.)
Experience with paint application and masking processes for components and assemblies
Knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment
Experience with automation solutions
Experience with chemistry including execution of titrations
Experience with 3D Printing
Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAD
Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications
