Responsibilities
Prepare calculations and estimates using specialized software and MS Excel based on online sources, drawings, and job walk measurements
Travel to properties (buildings, industrial facilities, and houses) to collect information for proposal preparation including measurements, work quantities (BOQ), and potential hazards
Discover client needs, inform them of company benefits, and coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing information
Effectively input and maintain records in the company CRM system
Contribute to weekly meetings regarding company growth and work with management to develop better estimate and proposal processes
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1 year in construction estimating
2 years of experience using MS Excel
Strong math and calculation skills with the ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
High level of experience with MS Excel including creating formulas and organizing data
Conversational English skills and excellent customer service ability
A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for regular travel to local job walks
Must be self motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently
Preferred
Previous experience with construction take off software
Experience working within a CRM system such as Hubspot
Basic knowledge of building contractor trades like painting and maintenance
