Product Support Engineer, AMERICAS

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance to sales, service and spare parts team members; attend/hold technical meetings and make presentations for the the customer and sales/service team members
Collaborate with sales to properly outline the scope of work for new spreaders sales through Product Configuration and Order Specification for spreaders sold into the Americas territory; coordinate with sales concerning customer communications affecting the design of the product; coordinate design efforts with sales personnel or customer representative in order to determine application demands and customer expectation; coordinate with services concerning problems with the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and structural components on the product; coordinate with services to prepare or correct programming for spreaders and testers; travel to customer sites to determine the demands and operating conditions of the product or to provide technical assistance for the sales and/or services personnel; travel to other Bromma Sales & Manufacturing sites to discuss design issues and new product development
Establish and maintain product design criteria and standards for Bromma Global Spreaders; prepare reference materials to be sent to the engineering department in Bromma for the design of spreaders that will shipped into the Americas territory
Monitor applicable codes and standards dealing with the mechanical, electrical and structural parts of the product for the Americas; maintain compliance with company policies, Code of Conduct and applicable regulations

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred
US Driver's license, passport and TWIC Card required (if candidate does not already possess, these must be obtained immediately upon hire)
Minimum of 3 years' of relevant business / product experience in similar role providing mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and PLC technical support for heavy equipment, preferably port and terminal equipment
Strong awareness and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues
Customer-focused mindset; technically oriented; Service focused/minded

Preferred

Knowledge of spreader equipment or maritime experience preferred
Autodesk/AutoCAD & Inventor experience highly preferred
Experience in programming industrial PLC a plus
