Responsibilities
Testing HVAC components (sensors, actuators, Valves, PLCs, etc) in a lab environment
Carrying out tests using bespoke test equipment and assisting in setting up, programming, and running various tests on mechanical parts (motors, steppers, valves, etc.)
Assisting and facilitating test plans on HVAC components
Maintaining Preventive Maintenance plans
Perform assigned tests under limited supervision using standard testing and new procedures
Complete test reports
Perform Safety inspections and maintain safety inspection results
Complete preventative maintenance requirements and troubleshoot malfunctions
Devise, fabricate, and assemble test equipment or test samples
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience in installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of mechanical components (sensors, actuators, Valves, PLCs, etc)
Use of hand tools and power tools (screwdriver, wrench, etc.)
Mechanical background in assembling and testing equipment
Mechanical test lab- testing HVAC systems
Experience in a lab environment collecting data with mechanical test equipment (torque drivers, micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc)
Have a flow loop system (Pumps and sensors) which will need to maintain
Testing valves and executing the systems
HVAC equipment experience
Hands-on, knows how to use tools, and able to debug with mechanical tools
Basic computer skills such as word processing, data entry, and e-mail
Must be able to understand and abide by equipment and lab safety requirements
Ability to assist all levels of engineers with their tasks and assignments
Preferred
Experience in a lab environment collecting data with mechanical test equipment (torque drivers, micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc) is desired
HVAC equipment experience is desired
