Director/ExecutiveThe Grand Healthcare System is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead day-to-day HR operations at one of their skilled nursing facilities. This role involves overseeing HR functions, supporting staffing and employee relations, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
Lead all onsite human resources functions for a skilled nursing facility
Partner with department heads to support staffing, employee relations, and retention
Credentialing and onboarding new hires per NYS requirements
Administer payroll, benefits, and data accurately and confidentially
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and NYS Department of Health regulations
Support performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes
Maintain employee files, reports, and HR documentation
Serve as a visible, approachable HR presence for staff and leadership
Qualification
Required
Prior HR experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting
Working knowledge of employment law, labor compliance, and HR best practices
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
Experience with payroll and benefits administration
