Procom is representing a Government Sector client in need of a Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist - Senior-2x. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the availability and performance of ZOS mainframe systems through effective batch processing and scheduling.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and support mainframe batch processing 24/7/365

Plan, monitor, and control the schedule for production batch and online processing

Coordinate ongoing automated scheduling activities, addressing complex scheduling incidents

Analyze and resolve production batch processing failures

Provide operational updates, upgrades, and patches

Implement batch and online system change requests

Ensure service level commitments to clients and stakeholders are met

Participate in disaster recovery exercises and testing

Modify automated scheduling tools to improve operational efficiency

Required

Experience with supporting large ZOS mainframe systems

Experience demonstrating knowledge of CA7

Demonstrative Incident and Change Management with strong documentation and communication skills

Extensive abilities to administer and maintain continuous operations of production scheduling and batch processing

Extensive knowledge of Service Management Tools such as eSMT, CIT, Remedy, and ITIL

Preferred

Experience in job optimization and problem analysis

Knowledge of communications, collaborations, and analytics tools

Ability to provide specialized automated scheduling expertise

Experience in planning and leading the development of new automated schedules
