$80/hr - $120/hrTogetherhood is expanding its network to DC and is seeking passionate instructors to teach creative arts classes to K-12 students. The role involves creating age-appropriate curriculums and providing enriching experiences for children in various community settings.
Responsibilities
Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class
Create memorable experience for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for your art
Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day
Help children understand why your art is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person
Qualification
Required
Experience teaching school age children
Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Ability to bring your own voice and creativity to each class you teach
Cooperative, supportive, flexible
Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
Prepared with the lesson plan for the day
Preferred
Relevant teaching experience
Relevant experience or training if lacking formal teaching experience
