Responsibilities

Provide account review, advice and assistance with manuscript forms to underwriting staff
Provide file supervision, coverage analysis and guidance on property and casualty claims files
Control and manage property and casualty litigation files
Conduct product development, including legal and form research, and policy language development
Assist and support Field Claims associates to claims file conclusion
Support achievement of departmental goals and initiatives
Communicate claims trends to the CSU Underwriting team

Required

excellent verbal and written communication skills
strong negotiation and reasoning skills with the ability to multi-task
the ability to sustain effective working relationships with associates, policyholders, claimants and agents
the ability to identify and analyze key critical issues and provide solutions for successful outcomes
the ability to accomplish goals with moderate supervision
the ability to analyze coverage
a bachelor's degree

Preferred

five or more years of claims adjusting or claims supervision experience
multi-line claims adjusting experience
a law degree
