Field Application Specialist I

Responsibilities
Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation, and ongoing support of bioMérieux’s diagnostic product lines within the U.S. customer base
Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers
Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMérieux’s CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field/System Engineers, IT Resources, Management teams, and Local/Global Support Teams
Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators
Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget
Support bioMérieux revenue initiatives
Territory management over designated geographic area. Extensive field travel is required (average 75%, including overnight stays)
Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in medical technology, technical or life science field
2+ years of clinical laboratory experience or equivalent
Technical learning aptitude to quickly understand and acquire new technical knowledge and skills
Functional skills including critical thinking, adaptability, time management, communication, problem-solving and digital literacy
Flexibility, being highly adaptable and resilient to thrive in a dynamic work environment
Effective and efficient problem analysis that leads to high-quality decisions
Troubleshooting issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently
Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office programs
Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical data clearly
Ability to cooperate with others at all levels and work cross-functionally to achieve shared objectives
Consistently uphold and reflect the core ethical principles and values that bioMérieux promotes
Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods
Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like
Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day
Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
Domestic travel required: 75%
International travel required: 5%
Total travel: 80%
Preferred
MLS (ASCP) Certification Preferred
bioMérieux product experience preferred
Experience with CLIA regulations and/or other laboratory credentialing standards preferred
Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred
Laboratory Information System (LIS) or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus
