Business Development Manager - Mechanical Services
Applied Control is a company that specializes in providing automation solutions across various industries. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to provide valve service-related sales and technical support, aiming to grow the valve services business by identifying and cultivating relationships with customers.

Responsibilities
Identify and cultivate opportunities with new customers and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with all key valve services customers
Manage and coordinate the pursuit of in-house and field valve service opportunities
Lead and/or support each opportunity through the following phases: Project Identification, Pursuit Strategy, Proposal Generation, Execution, Project Completion and Customer Satisfaction Follow-up
Serve as an outside sales resource and subject matter expert for all valve services, including: Control, relief, ball, gate, globe, and check valves; Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators; Instrumentation and accessories, i.e. solenoids, switch boxes, digital positioners, controllers, etc.; Installation, maintenance, and commissioning services
Initiate, assist, and document walk downs to determine job scope, valve data, and valve location
Communicate to the inside sales team any additional equipment required to perform the requested service engagement
Comply with customer safety standards including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (respirators, goggles, hearing protection, etc.) when visiting customer facilities
Understand and comply with generally accepted industry standards, such as ANSI, ASME, API, NBIC and others, as they apply to valve service
Look for opportunities to provide additional value to customers that also deliver incremental business for Applied Control and Emerson

Ability to access customer equipment which may involve stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs, riding man lifts, walking scaffolding, catwalks, etc
Must have a valid driver's license and own an automobile
