Program Director Waltham - Co-Occurring Enhanced Residential Rehabilitation Services

The Program Director will lead the COERRS residence, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and overseeing operational metrics, staffing, and resident care to foster a supportive recovery environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and report on key operational metrics, including: Bed Occupancy: Ensure consistent occupancy at or near capacity, Staffing Levels: Maintain full employee complement required for safe and effective resident care., Resident Satisfaction: Conduct regular reviews of satisfaction surveys and address feedback., Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all licensing and accreditation standards in coordination with the Compliance and Billing teams., Budgetary oversight: Ensure the COERRS residence expenses is within the approved budget
Oversee COERRS residential facility to ensure optimal performance
Maintaining maximum bed occupancy and associated staffing level
Foster collaboration between operational and clinical priorities with updates to the COERRS Playbook as needed (and no less than annually); weekly meetings with SMG leadership
Weekly supervisory meetings (i.e. 1-on-1s) with CD
Provide coverage on-site at residences who have leaders out of office simultaneously under unforeseen circumstances (i.e. FMLA, termination, and resignation)
Ensure program operations align with occupancy and staffing requirements, optimizing resources to safely serve the maximum number of residents
Implement processes to monitor and maintain bed occupancy rates, including efficient admissions and discharge procedures
Manage program budgets and resource allocation to support operations while meeting fiscal targets
Support the CD in delivering evidence-based care tailored to residents' co-occurring disorders
Review and ensure clinical documentation, treatment plans, and services align with regulatory and organizational standards
Collaborate with the CD to address escalated clinical or resident care issues
Execute recruitment, training, and retention strategies to ensure full staffing
Monitor staffing levels and compliance with legal requirements to maintain resident safety and high-quality care
Oversee onboarding and professional development programs to build a skilled, multidisciplinary team
Oversee implementation of therapeutic services to meet resident needs effectively
Address and resolve resident concerns or issues escalated from staff or clinical teams
Promote a therapeutic and supportive environment that facilitates recovery and community reintegration
Oversee daily operations of the COERRS House program
Provide supervision to the Clinical Director, and other staff as needed
Deliver individual, group and crisis intervention therapeutic services as needed
Participate in on-call rotation as administrative back-up
Review and approve program policies and procedures
Assists all staff in becoming proficient in evidence-based practices (EBP) and providing fidelity to the EBP models
In collaboration with CD (and clinical staff): Monitor quality and concurrent reviews and utilization management
Manage and coordinate group treatment scheduling and manage attendance data base in collaboration with CD
Coordinate and manage insurance authorizations
Ensure compliance with established operational, financial, and HR standards: Ensure operational budgets are followed, specifically related to expense control, ordering, purchasing, and invoice payment; this includes monitoring ordering and purchasing websites, maintaining spreadsheet for monthly budget reconciliation
Ensure payroll and other HR functions are occurring per State law
Act in accordance with Square Medical Group’s Standards of Care at all times, including maintaining professional ethics, boundaries and client confidentiality while working from a strength-based perspective

Required

Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field but relevant experience prioritized; advanced licensure (e.g., LICSW, LMHC)
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in BH and/or SUD, with at least 3 years in leadership overseeing co-occurring disorders programs
Deep knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations, including experience with co-occurring disorder population (with Evidence Based Practices specific to the program model)
Experience in building staff capacity to treat both substance use and mental health disorders
Third-party experience with insurance authorizations, quality and concurrent reviews and utilization management
Experience with EHR; InSync a plus
An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management
Working knowledge of operations and financial management
Proficiency in the MS Office Suite
Strong organizational skills
Superb communication skills
Reliable transportation required for travel to assigned residence
Must be willing to carry a cell phone and be available for emergency consult during evenings, weekends, and holidays
