Engineering Technician IV

Responsibilities

New hire will be capable of operating heavy equipment
Able to lift 75 pounds
Willing to work in adverse weather conditions
Technician will operate machinery to include - Class VII and below forklifts, drive tanks, operate earth moving equipment, hold or obtain Class A CDL w/hazmat endorsement
Welding and/or mechanical skills will be utilized daily
This individual must be able to read, understand and adhere to all applicable SOP's and TSRA's
Some travel may be required

Required

Must have 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:
At least 6 years of the 7 years' experience must include successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware
Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
Self-motivated and independent thinker with out-of-the-box ideas
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Must have high school diploma or GED

Preferred

Will need to have experience operating military equipment
Military munitions and arms experience
Familiar with Standard Operating Procedures
Have experience initiating safe plans of actions
Able to lead, participate, or provide input to a team of technicians
Experience working with engineers and senior management required
Exceptional customer relationship management is highly desirable
