The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing vacuum trucks to ensure they meet quality standards, while also assisting operations in enforcing good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities
Inspects in-process production of vacuum trucks by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
Inspects finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
Monitors production areas, and checks that all manufactured products or parts meet the necessary production standards
Compares product with bill of materials and sales release to ensure completion of assembly
Interprets engineering drawings/diagrams and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
Selects products for tests at specified stages in the production process and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics
Operates any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job
Assists test bay manager with the testing of trucks and is backup when test bay manager is on vacation
Assists production with diagnosing issues on trucks
Suggests design and location changes that improves function of the truck
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in conducting quality inspections
Strategic thinker and strong analytical skills
Ability to influence and motivate others
Good eye for detail
Analyze problems, detect root causes, and resolve all issues
Excellent time management, planning, organization, and prioritization skills
Self-motivator with solid interpersonal skills, achievement oriented
Be aware of Health and Safety standards and their implication in the workplace
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
This position requires a valid driver's license
Preferred
Experience building custom trucks is preferred, but not required
