Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable database and data warehousing solutions (e.g., data lakes, star schemas) to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives
Develop, optimize, and monitor robust ETL/ELT workflows to ingest data from diverse sources, such as clinical codes for drugs (ATC), diagnoses (ICD), and other healthcare-specific terminologies
Conduct regular performance tuning, optimize complex SQL queries, and implement backup/recovery strategies to ensure data reliability and minimize downtime
Implement rigorous data validation, cleansing procedures, and quality checks at each stage of the pipeline, ensuring data integrity and adherence to industry regulations
Work closely with Pharmacy analysts and Application Development team to translate complex data requirements into scalable technical solutions
Automate data integration and transformation tasks, implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues, and establish CI/CD pipelines for production deployment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
At least 7 years of proven experience in data engineering, database management, and building complex data pipelines, preferably within the pharmacy or healthcare industry
Expert proficiency in SQL and strong programming skills in Python and C#
Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Mongo, and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse)
Experience with Azure
Familiarity with orchestration tools like N8N or AirFlow
Understanding of healthcare data standards and regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, GxP) is highly desirable
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
