Petroleum Delivery/Service Tech - Conserv FS - Dekalb, IL

Responsibilities
Delivers all energy products utilizing a single or tandem axle truck and performs work related to the propane, petroleum, lubricant, and service areas
Delivers to farm, home, and commercial customer accounts
Safely handles all energy products at all times
Ensure tank installations and service work are made to customer requirements. Perform tank maintenance as needed per Conserv FS requirements on customer tanks
Completes technical and product training in order to stay up-to-date and knowledgeable of product changes
Reports all complaints to supervisor and utilizes appropriate procedures in handling complaints
Assists with inventory, making sure it is done correctly, on time, and sent to the main office
Takes necessary steps to control/manage shrink
Inspects truck and bulk plant on a regular basis and ensures a timely repair
Works with Service Specialists in other regions of the company to collaborate and share the workload throughout our service territory
Understand and follow all local, state and federal requirements required for installation of any equipment we work on
Must be physically able to handle energy products, package and bulk, and operate energy department equipment
Maintain valid CETP Basic Principles and Practices certification
Ensure proper company billing procedures are implemented at time of service or installation
Manage customer billing and truck inventory through use of electronic billing system, wEBS or other company issued technology on a timely basis
Maintain control of work order tickets and be accountable for each ticket number. Make a reasonable effort to have delivery and service tickets signed by customer representative
Maintain delivery equipment to D.O.T. standards and ensure that all D.O.T. driver responsibilities are performed including, but not limited to, pre and post trip inspections
Report all product spills, over runs, vehicle accidents or work-related injuries to supervisor immediately
Be available for extended service hours of operation as the season and customers demand
Be able to help in other departments and roles when needed
Displays good judgment, positive attitude, and enthusiasm in dealing with customers and fellow employees
Maintains a good working knowledge of and utilizes applicable company computer programs such as, wEBS, FBS, and email
Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts
Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adhering to the uniform policy, maintaining the appropriate professional image
Follows ConservFS’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent, able to demonstrate strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle customer inquiries and concerns
Must have and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
Will be required to travel independently and work self-directed
Must be physically able to handle energy products, package and bulk, and operate energy department equipment

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on ConservFS's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position
