Resident Quality Manager

Responsibilities
Oversee the plant quality system and ensure customer satisfaction with the final product, and support all plants that supply parts to the customer pertaining to quality, logistics, sales, and product/process engineering
Act as IATF internal auditor, examine damaged parts, lead investigations, and develop solutions to issues
Maintain control documents and quality data, and manage all processes and plans for internal/external quality audits
Supervise maintenance and development gauges and gauge certification systems for all products
Lead daily meetings and provide briefing on quality issues
Ensure accuracy of work instructions
Oversee part quality on the line and overall final product quality in forging plants
Prepare daily reports on quality data and KPIs with defined action plan for each issue
Lead customer visits addressing investigations of quality and product issues
Devise technical report for customers and management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent foreign degree
3 years of work experience in a product engineering or quality engineering role in the crankshaft manufacturing industry
Must have 3 years of work experience with each of the following: identify and address quality issues for steel manufacturing in forging processes for industrial size crankshafts; provide technical support for industrial crankshaft quality specifications related to forging and machining processes; define product and quality specifications for forged and machined heavy-duty crankshafts; lead investigations and development solutions addressing scrap and quality hold control in steel manufacturing processes; and liaise between customers and producers to address quality issues/investigations, new project development, quality requirements, and cost proposals
