The Midtown Group is searching for a Payroll Practice Lead & Solution Architect to spearhead their payroll practice. This critical role is designed for an established expert who can lead complex SAP Payroll implementations and manage high-stakes client relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and strategic road mapping for complex SAP Payroll solutions. You will be the primary authority on how the solution is built

Partner with the sales team to lead high-level discussions with prospective clients, demonstrating technical expertise and defining solution roadmaps

Serve as the most senior technical resource on projects, guiding Employee Central consultants and ensuring the technical integrity of the payroll implementation

Manage high-stakes client relationships, navigating complex enterprise environments and delivering results under strict timelines

Deep SAP Payroll Expertise: You must be a Solution Architect-level expert with a proven history of leading successful payroll implementations

Consulting Experience (Mandatory): Prior experience working for a consultancy is strictly required. Candidates with only 'client-side' (in-house) experience will not be considered, as this role requires the ability to manage the unique pace, variety, and demands of professional services

Enterprise Scale: Experience managing 'large' projects is defined as complex, enterprise-level implementations. You must be comfortable managing projects for clients with 2,000+ employees and intricate requirements

Road mapping Ability: You must have the demonstrated ability to walk into a room, identify gaps, and independently create a project roadmap without needing 'on the job' training

Citizenship: US Citizenship is required due to regulated client work

Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive 10-year background check, including financial history
