Responsibilities
Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models using tools like QGIS and HEC-RAS with minimal supervision
Translate survey, geotechnical, and regulatory data into clear, accurate digital models and reports
Support design teams with calculations for culverts, drainage features, stormwater systems, and grading optimization
Prepare hydrology and stormwater reports that are clear, accurate, and compliant with project and regulatory requirements
Perform quality control reviews of junior staff work, providing constructive feedback and technical guidance
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-disciplinary teams to support successful project delivery
Contribute to continuous improvement of modeling workflows, documentation, and QA/QC practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
1–4 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, or related civil engineering work
Proficiency with QGIS or ArcMap for data processing and map generation
Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles
Experience working with engineering standards, permitting requirements, and local or state regulations
Comfort using Microsoft Office and Bluebeam for documentation and QA/QC
Strong problem-solving skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset
