Editorial Services Lead - Marcom

The Editorial Services Lead plays a critical role within Latham’s Brand & Communications team, guiding and deploying the firm’s voice across marketing products and channels while collaborating with various teams to produce high-quality content.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Participating in specific editorial initiatives, which may include generating marketing communications, digital copy, thought leadership, award submissions, and lawyer biographies
Keeping abreast of trends within editing and marketing communications to present Latham’s value proposition, people, capabilities, and insights in ways that engage and resonate with a range of stakeholders
Upholding the quality of content produced by the team as it aligns with the firm’s strategic vision
Actively contributing to and managing aspects of editorial projects, maintaining a focus on excellence and timeliness
Remaining informed about the firm’s priorities, industry developments, and communication trends
Maintaining the integrity and consistency of information across all firm communication platforms, safeguarding confidentiality
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Qualification
Required
Demonstrate excellent writing, editing, and interviewing skills, and the ability to translate complex ideas and information into concise, high-quality content that adheres to department standards
Exhibit a solid understanding of the marketing communications function and business development cycle within a professional services organization, including business-to-business (B2B) marketing concepts
Possess the ability to bring good judgment, diplomacy, and a growth mindset to every project
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, journalism, or communications; a minimum of five (5) years' relevant training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
A minimum of five (5) years' communications, public relations, and/or journalism experience
A minimum of three (3) years' professional services experience, preferably
Preferred
Familiarity with AI tools, preferably
