Responsibilities

Work collaboratively in a cross-discipline technical team of engineers and programmers in the development and implementation of automation control systems for all Tyson facilities
Be skilled in manufacturing automation design, integration, troubleshooting, engineering, programming, and consulting

Required

A Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems preferred, or equivalent experience
At least 1 year of programming experience with an ability to program PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems preferred
Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office and Visio; PLC and HMI
Knowledge of one or more languages including Concept, Unity, ProWORX, RSLogix, ArchestrA, InTouch or IFix
Average verbal and written communication skills
Ability to accomplish systems analysis tasks within a particular project or business unit
General awareness of control systems design
Well versed in coding language to be able to complete coding requirements within project time constraints
Capable of making programming enhancements, troubleshooting and testing for existing applications
Willing to support installed control systems for emergency purposes outside of normal business hours
10+ trips per year; willing to travel to job site for start-up of control systems

Preferred

Engineer-In-Training Certification is a plus, but not required
Programming and design skills in PLC, HMI, SCADA, SPC and MES systems
General awareness in business areas within Tyson Foods
Beginning knowledge in the ANSI/ISA standards
Background in reading electrical control schematics, developing sequence of operations and converting into automation code
