New Grad, Entry LevelIndiana University Health is seeking a Registration Specialist to facilitate efficient patient flow from point of entry through completion of services. This role is responsible for obtaining and verifying patient information to ensure accurate records and optimal reimbursement.

Responsibilities
Check in and check out patients and families, ensuring a positive and professional experience
Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information
Schedule appointments, including MRI scheduling, in a timely and accurate manner
Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred
Ability to learn and retain medical coding concepts (ICD‑10 and CPT preferred)
Ability to interpret insurance information and benefit coverage
Working knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced healthcare environment
Medical office or patient access experience strongly preferred
