Qualification

Applied LinguisticsNatural Language Data LabelingLanguage ProficiencyAnalytical ThinkingResearch SkillsTranscription SkillsAttention to Detail

Required

Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics, Language Studies, Communication, Speech Processing, or a related field

Native or near-native proficiency across the language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)

Strong listening, reading, and writing skills in English

Ability to strictly adhere to annotation guidelines and think analytically about units of language

Experience researching and applying {language placeholder} orthographic, stylistic, and formatting conventions to enforce consistent data annotation

6+ months of natural language data labeling experience across multiple modalities (audio, text, image, video), including annotation, transcription, entity tagging, and quality assessment

Comfortable wearing headphones and performing transcription-type work for extended periods of time

Comfortable with the possibility of handling explicit or offensive language in annotation data
