Garmin is seeking a full-time Industrial Designer Intern in their Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will assist with the aesthetic and ergonomic development of projects and collaborate with various teams to innovate and execute world-class designs.

Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Management teams to translate project goals into relevant solutions

Explore a wide variety of compelling design options

Communicate concepts and ideas through verbal, visual, and written means

Required

Completed coursework in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field

Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)

Must demonstrate digital proficiency in the use of tools such as SolidWorks, Keyshot, CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Sketchbook Pro

Must demonstrate interest in designing for one of Garmin's core markets: Automotive (OEM), Automotive (Consumer), Aviation, Marine, Outdoor / Fitness, Exhibit/Retail/Environmental

Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work respectfully with others
