Responsibilities
Supervise and support claims support staff, including training, performance management, and participation in hiring and onboarding
Oversee daily claims workflow, distributing work to ensure timely and efficient processing
Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures while identifying opportunities to streamline processes
Ensure professional and accurate handling of communications with claimants, attorneys, principals, and internal teams, and assist with escalated inquiries as needed
Set up new claim files, obtain underwriting information, and collaborate with leadership on next steps
Prepare and review correspondence, acknowledgments, and interdepartmental communications using approved templates
Coordinate meetings and conference calls for adjusters and in-house counsel
Assist with processing loss payments, salvage reserves, contract proceeds, and reinsurance transactions
Assemble, summarize, and analyze information for reports, presentations, and internal audit needs
Qualification
Required
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
Strong supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others and manage changing priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows-based systems, and claims or administrative systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, professional office environment
