Brooksource is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to support their sales analytics and reporting ecosystem. In this role, you will build and maintain data pipelines, validate data, and develop front-end dashboards that assist leaders in making informed decisions.

Responsibilities

Design & develop front-end dashboards and self-serve reports in Tableau/Power BI for pipeline, bookings, conversion, and quota attainment

Build/maintain lightweight ETL/ELT data flows to move and transform data between CRMs, data warehouses, and reporting layers

Validate data and troubleshoot discrepancies (e.g., mismatched counts, stale data, broken joins); document root causes and fixes

Write efficient SQL (joins, window functions, aggregations) to prep curated datasets for reporting

Harden data quality with checks, reconciliation rules, and exception reporting (e.g., missing IDs, duplicate opportunities)

Partner with stakeholders (Sales Ops, RevOps, Marketing Ops) to confirm definitions (e.g., MQL, SQL, pipeline stages) and ensure what we send is accurate and usable

Monitor refreshes & SLAs ; escalate blockers early and propose pragmatic workarounds

Required

0–2 years in a data engineering or analytics role (internships/co-ops welcome)

Solid SQL skills (joins, CTEs, window functions) and data modeling fundamentals

Experience building dashboards in Tableau or Power BI (front-end design, UX best practices)

Understanding of ETL concepts (moving/transforming data between sources) and basic pipeline orchestration

Comfort debugging data issues and explaining findings to non-technical partners
