Truck Technician

Ohio Cat is a division of Ohio Machinery Co. seeking a skilled technician to join their nationally recognized team in Cleveland, OH. The Truck Technician will be responsible for diagnosing failures and recommending repair procedures for Peterbilt vehicles, ensuring compliance with dealership and factory standards while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

The Truck Technician is responsible mainly for diagnosing failures and recommending appropriate repair procedures primarily for Peterbilt vehicles
The Truck Technician will complete the repair as instructed and provide customers the best possible service, by complying with dealership and factory standards
It is required that the vehicle be kept in a neat and clean condition, all safety measures are followed, and any issues should be reported to management immediately
In addition to repairs, mentorship will be provided to less-skilled technicians

Required

A high school diploma or equivalent is required
A vocational diploma or degree in diesel or truck repair is required
Four to six years of related experience or training required or an equivalent combination of experience and education
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred

CDL license recommended
MX Engine, Cummins Heavy Duty, Cummins Mid-Range, Allison Transmission, or Eaton Transmission certifications preferred
