DC Water is seeking a Senior Advisor, Business Analyst to serve as a trusted partner to the Chief Operating Officer. This role is responsible for providing high-level guidance on operational performance, strategic initiatives, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

Advises the COO on performance trends, operational risks, and strategic alignment across business units
Supports the development and implementation of a formal performance management framework, including KPIs and operational benchmarks
Collaborates with leadership to monitor budget execution, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness
Leads the analysis of enterprise data to uncover insights that inform strategic decisions and operational improvements
Maintains and enhances performance dashboards using tools such as Oracle, Power BI, and Tableau
Provides ad hoc and periodic reporting to support executive priorities and cross-functional initiatives
Prepares and delivers concise, data-informed presentations and reports for senior leadership, including the CEO and Board of Directors
Translates complex analytics into actionable recommendations and strategic narratives
Ensures alignment of internal and external communications with organizational goals and performance outcomes
Performs other related duties and projects at the direction of the immediate supervisor

Required

Minimum of 10 years of experience in business analysis, performance management, or strategic planning
Bachelor's degree in a Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools
