Tooling Specialist 2nd Shift
Howmet Aerospace is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. They are seeking a Tooling Specialist to be responsible for the rework of parts and ensure compliance with print and specification requirements.

Responsible for the rework of parts meeting print and specification requirements
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Able to read and interpret tooling prints, work instructions, policies and procedures
Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principles
Able to solve practical problems with a variety of variables
Able to calculate figures and amounts
Able to perform entry level machining
Able to maintain records and quality standards
Able to operate Tool room style machines
Able to use and read basic inspection tools: calipers micrometers, optical comparator
Qualification
Required
Minimum tooling experience required 1-3 years
Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Able to read and interpret tooling prints, work instructions, policies and procedures
Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principles
Able to solve practical problems with a variety of variables
Able to calculate figures and amounts
Able to perform entry level machining
Able to maintain records and quality standards

Able to use and read basic inspection tools: calipers micrometers, optical comparator
This position will physically require the incumbent to perform duties standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting (35 – 40lbs), pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines, all equally on a regular basis
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution preferred but not required
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desired or have a background working with machinery
Prefer previous hands-on experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and reading blueprints
