Data Center Program Manager

WSP USA is a leading engineering and professional services firm seeking a Data Center Program Manager to lead a nationwide hyperscale data center construction support team. The role involves recruiting and mentoring staff, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and contributing to the growth of WSP's data center services.

Responsibilities

Recruit, mentor, and lead deployed staff at multiple new data center campus construction projects across the United States
Be the primary point of contact with the clients and stakeholders (e.g., general contractors, installation subcontractors, equipment vendors, designers, commissioning agents, other client consultants, etc.) to provide status updates, collaborate on upcoming schedules and needs, and build a team culture
Prepare weekly and monthly client reports, identifying trends and recommendations, tracking issues and status, providing quality control for staff inputs, and evaluating impacts on schedules and staffing
Contribute as a technical resource to help improve the clients’ construction quality assurance programs, provide solutions to field construction issues that may arise, and assist in implementing lessons learned and best practices
Participate in WSP data center services growth and business development efforts

Required

10+ years of construction and/or quality assurance experience, of which 2+ years of experience include complex, mission-critical facilities; data center, hospital, or large-scale construction experience required
Demonstrated experience building and leading geographically spread teams deployed at project site locations
Served as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
Knowledge of using construction schedules to develop and adjust staffing plans
Experience with large-scale, complex electrical and mechanical installations, and the testing and/or commissioning of similar systems
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Experience with major regulations, industry codes, and standards affecting mechanical and electrical installations, as well as standard mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials and means of construction
Willingness for routine travel to project locations across the United States
College, trade school, or military training in a technical discipline
Able to walk distances on uneven sites, climb small ladders, and work in an active construction environment
Must pass background check and motor vehicle report

Preferred

Experience with hyperscale data center construction
Certifications in construction management, quality assurance, or commissioning are desired, but not required
