Akkodis is looking for a seasoned Software Solutions Architect to design and lead scalable, secure, and high-performing digital commerce solutions. In this role, you will partner with clients and cross-functional teams to define architecture, guide implementation, and drive successful digital transformation with a strong focus on commercetools and modern, API-first, headless commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

Architect end‑to‑end digital commerce solutions, including data models, integrations, and platform capabilities

Lead solution design for commercetools and other platforms (Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud)

Advise clients on platform selection, composable/MACH strategies, and modernization paths

Serve as a technical leader, solving complex integration, scalability, and performance challenges

Support pre‑sales with architecture concepts, technical assessments, and discovery workshops

Evaluate legacy systems and guide replatforming to modern, API‑driven architectures

Partner with delivery teams to manage technical risk and align architecture with project goals

Communicate architectural decisions clearly to stakeholders and act as a trusted technology advisor

Required

10+ years in solution architecture within commerce or enterprise platforms

Strong experience with commercetools and modern commerce ecosystems

Expertise in API‑first architectures (REST, GraphQL, event‑driven)

Engineering background with Node.js, TypeScript, microservices, serverless

Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) including API gateways, queues/streams, and containers

Knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases and integrations across ERP, PIM, OMS, CMS, payments

Familiarity with MACH, headless commerce, and composable storefront frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue)

Experience in consulting and client‑facing technical roles

Strong communication skills and comfort in fast‑paced, agile environments

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
