Periop 101 Internship - New Grads and Experienced RNs
UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is offering a Periop 101 Internship for new graduate RNs and experienced RNs without OR experience. The program includes a comprehensive perioperative nursing course with online modules and clinical experience, preparing nurses for intraoperative care in various surgical services.

Responsibilities
Prepare the registered nurse for entry level practice in perioperative nursing with a focus on intraoperative care
Complete didactic online web-based learning modules
Participate in a preceptored clinical experience
Perform functions directly related to circulating in the operating room
Rotate through various services including ENT/Dental, Plastics, General, GYN, GU, daVinci Robotics, CVT, Ortho, and Neuro during the internship
Receive a certificate of completion and 41.7 CEUs upon successful completion of the AORN web based course
Qualification
Required
State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required, or a graduate nurse who is license-eligible for the first time
For new grads: NCLEX- RN must be passed prior to the start of the program
