Responsibilities
Manage a workflow schedule that is in line with report requirements
Responsible for all programming, setup, and operation of wire EDM and Mill machines
Use CAD created drawings & CAD files for programming
Ensure Mastercam Mill Level 3 and Esprit Software is current and running at optimum performance
Ensure all CNC programs are best practice for the given component
Work with Fabrication Manager on scheduling production machining
Perform quality assurance checks on components
Provide tooling maintenance support
Suggest and implement the best practice methods, cost savings ideas & equipment improvements
Maintain proper file management for all programs
Ensure machines are properly maintained and run at optimum performance
Qualification
Required
Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tool operating procedures
Setups involve familiarity with and understanding program formats involving combinations of operations such as profile and contour milling, boring, recessing, turning, drilling, threading, fixturing, etc., to the capacity of the machine and control factor
Perform advanced setup operations, adjust and check out programming and operate numerically controlled machine tools to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring a high degree of skill

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years CNC experience preferably in a Tool & Die environment
Minimum 2 years programming experience preferably with MasterCam and/or Esprit
Read blueprints with GD&T
Maintains an organized work area along with meeting and exceeding production outputs and quality requirements
Preferred
2 Year Machine Tool or Tool & Die Certificate preferred
