Ambassador Program Assistant (Volunteer/Intern)

Moral Injury Support Network for Servicewomen, Inc. (MISNS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting servicewomen affected by military moral injury. Responsibilities

Monitor and compile monthly impact check-ins from Ambassadors, tracking metrics such as outreach conversations, referrals, and events attended
Maintain records of partner contacts and assist in identifying where additional support is needed for program participants
Assist MISNS leadership in providing debriefing opportunities and support for Ambassadors after difficult community interactions
Design and update approved educational materials for Ambassadors to share online or in-person
Develop recruitment toolkits and advocacy resources that communicate the program's mission and boundaries
Create content that highlights the flexible engagement levels of the program, from light monthly outreach to leadership roles in panels and training
Assist in identifying and recruiting women veterans to serve as Ambassadors
Help build and maintain referral relationships with nonprofits, clinics, agencies, and businesses
Promote the 'Trauma-Informed Safety' aspect of the program, ensuring potential recruits understand that personal storytelling is optional and participation is flexible

Required

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist with outreach and support for program participants
Organizational skills, including managing documentation, coordinating schedules, and planning virtual events
Proficiency in relevant technology and tools, such as email platforms, virtual meeting software, and data management systems
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and remain self-motivated and diligent in meeting deadlines

Preferred

Demonstrated interest in advocacy for servicewomen, veterans, or nonprofit services is a plus
Prior experience in project coordination or program support is advantageous but not required
