Responsibilities

Perform advanced testing of structural materials
Report, evaluate, and analyze test results
Implement emerging testing technologies and methodologies
Develop and upgrade databases
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders
Produce technical reports and review research project documents
Review, maintain and develop specifications, test methods, quality control plans, and standard laboratory procedures
Occasional travel may be required for field inspections and material sampling
Other duties as assigned
