NEOGOV is seeking Public Engagement Summer Interns within the South Carolina Department of Transportation. The role involves leading a photo archive project, supporting content creation, assisting with public outreach, and collaborating on engagement objectives.

Responsibilities

Leads a photo archive project and catalogue photo assets

Reviews content across a variety of platforms for timeliness and accuracy and suggest changes

Supports content creation through research, writing, photography and video creation

Assists public outreach and events staff with upcoming conferences and meetings

Creates communications campaign plans and strategies for upcoming projects

Designs graphics, materials and other marketing materials

Assists public involvement staff with upcoming public involvement planning and executing public involvement meetings and outreach strategies

Collaborates with staff on new ideas and programs that further the department’s engagement objectives

Updates media lists and performs other required administrative duties
