Shipping Tech (Onsite)

Responsibilities
Receipt of new inventory items; review for any physical damage, proper ESD protection, determine proper location for item
Scanning of all documentation received for record retention
Upon material receipt, identifying and issuing components to any open orders
Attention to detail is imperative to ensure accuracy throughout the process
Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition
Properly packaging finished product with required documentation and supplying to the shipping team for processing
Assists with preparation of necessary shipping documentation
Assists with flow of materials and products in areas according to established guidelines and delivery schedules
Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources
Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department goal and objectives
Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet duty requirements
Frequent standing, sitting, stooping, lifting
Occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching
Comply with EH&S policies and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE. Attend EH&S trainings as required. Report unsafe practices and/or conditions to the appropriate individuals to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards. Recommend improvements to EH&S practices in order to create a safer workplace
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Preferred
Prior working experience in a manufacturing or service environment and 3-5 years complimentary work history
Demonstrated proficiency computer based applications
The ability to give direction and guidance to others once proficient
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail in order to ensure safety and quality
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
The ability to work in a team to support work capacity in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens and learning new software programs
The ability to take direction from more experienced coworkers, leads and supervisors
