Responsibilities

Process and issue a high volume of Certificates of Insurance (COIs), including lender, vendor, and contractual requirement requests
Review contractual insurance requirements and ensure certificates are issued accurately and in compliance with policy terms
Read, interpret, and reference E&S commercial insurance policies to confirm coverage, limits, endorsements, and exclusions when issuing COIs
Maintain accuracy when listing additional insureds, waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory wording, and other common certificate requests
Assist with servicing commercial accounts across lines including General Liability, Property, Umbrella/Excess, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, and ancillary coverages
Enter, update, and maintain policy and certificate data in the agency management system
Request endorsements, policy changes, audits, and loss runs from carriers as directed
Support renewal preparation by organizing exposure data and policy documentation
Respond to routine client, lender, and property manager inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and escalate discrepancies to the Account Manager
File and organize policy documents, correspondence, and certificates in accordance with agency procedures
Follow established workflows, service timelines, and compliance standards

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Active Texas General Line Property & Casualty insurance license (required)
Prior experience reading and interpreting E&S commercial insurance policies
Demonstrated experience issuing Certificates of Insurance
Basic understanding of commercial insurance terminology and coverage concepts
Ability to accurately interpret policy forms and endorsements, particularly in the E&S market
High attention to detail, especially in COI issuance and policy documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven workload
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to quickly learn agency management systems and carrier portals
Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality and compliance

Preferred

1 year of experience in an insurance agency, brokerage, or related insurance role preferred
