Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot
Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end and third-party systems
Work on event-driven architectures using messaging systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
Optimize application performance and scalability for high-traffic retail environments
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across backend services and integrations
Work closely with frontend teams for API design and integration
Partner with DevOps for smooth deployments and CI/CD pipeline improvements
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning
Maintain technical documentation for services and APIs
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development
Experience in microservices architecture and RESTful API development
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Spanner)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)
Exposure to monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)
Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience
4–9 years of experience in Java development
Strong understanding of Spring Boot, microservices, and API design
Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
