3RD SHIFT TRAINING MGR 1

The role involves planning, developing, and coordinating in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers, while managing training teams and ensuring the effectiveness of training activities.

Responsibilities
Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers
Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids
Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
May utilize trainers with technical expertise
Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date
Manages the training teams who provides facilitative services on 3rd Shift for X31, X32, X33, X42 and X43
Managing performance, time, scheduling, monitoring and reporting budget expenditures, as well as managing resources to support training delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience, High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience, High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Preferred
O26 or O67 training instructional experience and/or trade supervisory experience
Knowledge of Training Processes (Scheduling, Facilitation and Course Development)
Ability to lead people and manage day to day tasks
Maintain a high level of professionalism
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
