Research Assistant I-Department of Ophthalmology

The role involves conducting independent collaborative research under mentorship, performing various cellular and molecular biology techniques, and handling administrative responsibilities within the lab.

Responsibilities
Perform cell culture and basic cell biology techniques such as Q-PCR, western blot, immunohistochemistry, etc. Experience in vivo mouse models would be a plus
Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, update protocols, and participate in lab meetings and appropriate scientific meetings
Assist lab members in preparing grants, manuscripts, and animal protocols
Helps order lab chemicals, maintain lab instruments and support research projects
Oversee the training of new/junior summer students in the lab
Qualification
Required
BS, MS in Biology or related fields or MD
Preferred
Experience in vivo mouse models would be a plus
