Responsibilities
Maintain consistent, empathetic communication with clients throughout their case
Schedule and conduct meetings (intake, discovery, disbursement, etc.)
Coordinate with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Organize and maintain detailed case files and documentation
Enter and manage data in legal management software
Track deadlines, expenses, and case progression accurately
Draft and prepare legal documents, including demands, pleadings, motions, and briefs
Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and discovery materials for depositions and trials
Assist with filing and service of pleadings
Apply thorough knowledge of Louisiana and federal statutes to support case strategy
Qualification
Required
4+ years of paralegal experience, including 2+ years in litigation
Strong understanding of Louisiana and federal court procedures
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
A compassionate approach to client care and a professional demeanor
B.S. or B.A. from in-person attendance at a traditional 4-year university is required
Minimum 4 years of paralegal experience, including 2 years in litigation
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion
Comprehensive knowledge of current Louisiana and federal statutes
Experienced in legal drafting and document preparation
Preferred
Personal injury experience preferred
