Responsibilities
Lead the due diligence process for whole loan purchase/sale transactions, including credit/compliance underwriting, data integrity, and valuations
Oversee due diligence and coordinate requirements for securitized transactions, working closely with rating agencies
Assess complex loan profiles, particularly Prime and Non-QM loans with layered assets and income streams
Ensure TRID, QM/ATR compliance and identify potential fraud risks and resolutions
Track and resolve collateral exceptions with custodians and maintain strong understanding of underwriting guidelines
Qualification
Required
8+ years of mortgage industry experience in due diligence, underwriting, and originations
Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations and compliance standards
Advanced Excel proficiency and adaptability with various systems
Bachelor's degree required
Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail; limited travel (<10%)
