Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership and direction to the maintenance team at several properties
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback team members
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities over several properties
Complete, coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities, with a focus on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
Collaborate with manager(s) on maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs
Develop long-term maintenance strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve maintenance processes and reduce downtime
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with overall operations
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of equipment and facilities
Address and resolve any safety concerns or hazards promptly
Provide training and resources to maintenance staff on safety procedures and protocols
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services
Monitor and evaluate the performance of external service providers

Required

High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field is highly desirable
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a maintenance role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management position
Experience in managing maintenance operations in a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly desirable
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g. Real Page)
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Strategic thinking and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations
