FPGA Intern Engineer

General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the defense of our country. The role involves applying classroom skills to technical projects in a collaborative environment while enhancing the intern's skill set through hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Apply your classroom-learned skills to a program supporting the defense of our country
Work on projects that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services
Collaborate with teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission

Required

Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred

Knowledge of programming in Verilog or VHDL a plus
Knowledge of AMD vivado tool a plus
Knowledge of simulation tools like QuestaSim a plus
Clear understanding of engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
