The role involves assisting physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images

Qualification

ARRT CertificationInterventional Radiology ExperienceDiagnostic Radiology ExperienceIV CredentialingPatient PreparationX-ray Equipment OperationSkills Validation

Required

High School Diploma or GED, required

Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required

Minimum of one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology, required

Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R), required

Applicable state licensure, required

Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing

Thorough knowledge of interventional procedure and activity

Preferred

2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred

Minimum of one year of experience in Interventional Radiology, preferred

IV Credentialed, preferred
